Minnesota's Ed-U-Tech Technology Integration Fellows specialize in technology use in the classroom and are experienced elementary and/or secondary teachers. Program Fellows are on a one-year leave from their districts, working "in residence" with the College of Education and Human Development (CEHD) education faculty.
Each Technology Integration Fellow works full time with two or three faculty members throughout the course of the academic year. Fellows and faculty form a tight partnership, meeting once or twice a week to conduct one-on-one training, brainstorm ideas and plan lessons and presentations. Fellows also attend their mentee's methods classes to assure that the technology operates smoothly and to record data about technology use in their classes. By the end of the academic year, faculty are more capable of integrating technology, and understand what technology can offer pre-service students and their future K-12 students. To date, 22 education faculty have benefited from the program.
